  • For the past couple years the city of Seattle hasn't been able to afford the annual 4th of July fireworks show, so the citizens raised the $500,000 each year to make sure they got the show they love. Personally, I think that is a great way to do it.

  • She didn't lie about the scanner not working. Even the woman who found the ticket said that it was rejected four times after she got it, but that she realized some of the numbers were not fully scratched off. It was only after they finished scratching that it came up a million dollar winner.

  • I think part of it has to do with being lied to by car companies about how great their hybrids are. They usually get much worse mileage than listed, and their special hybrid batteries die and have to be replaced at a cost of thousands of dollars.

  • It has been really bad in my company. A few years ago they laid off 10% of our workforce, and no one knew if it was going to be them. We were told we could under no circumstances get overtime, but at the same time my workload has increased four-fold since I started 5 years ago.

  • He likely ingested the Meth because he was starving. He says that he doesn't exactly remember what happened, and they have pieced bits together based on the medical examinations later (such as ingesting the glass).

  • wichasha, I completely disagree. I kept a similar list when I was dating. I wasn't interested in wasting my time or the time of people I was dating if the writing was on the wall that it wouldn't work out.

  • I find this science to be spotty, at best. I have had the same best friend since I was about 12 years old. She and I rarely call each other, but keep in contact through texting and facebook.

  • She isn't in jail. She was found not guilty by reason of insanity. She is in a state hospital for mental care.
